About the Building

     This 1885 historical building still has the original stair treads from the late 1800's.  The building was a dry goods and merchantile. The upstairs was an Opera House. Although they may have sung opera from time to time, traveling shows would perform for the public as well.  The serpentine balcony would hold the owners' friends to watch the show (it does have a slanted floor).

     We have three stories filled with history and tangible historical items for sale.  Come and visit us often!
